Friday night @ Komo bar in Guildford

1 December 2017

So Friday 1st December saw our last gig of the year at our favourite hotspot in Guildford, Komo. It did not disappoint! Maybe it was because it’s the first Friday in December and everyone was particularly keen to party to kick off the festive season, or maybe we were spectacularly awesome on that night haha (we like to think that had something to do with it!) but we had an amazing night! It was super rammed and the crowd were, well mental! That’s the only way to describe them really!  Our singer Tasch was a nano second away from crowd surfing at one point! (Maybe next time!!) Big thanks to Eoghan who stepped in to cover bass duties for the night. We had a blast and threw in some new songs as well as some old favs and are sad it’s our last gig there until the new year… But don’t worry, we’ll be back! Come and find us back at Komo in 2018. Happy Christmas everyone hope you have an amazingly festive time!

Work party at Komo Bar in Guildford

19 October 2017

So we were asked to play at one of our favourite haunts Komo for private work function for Charles Russell Speechlys LLP on Thursday night and we had an absolute blast. Joining us on bass for the night was the awesome and heavily bearded Eoghan Logue – thank for smashing it with us Eoghan!

The guys at Charles Russells were amazing and totally up for it and really got involved as we blasted out a bunch of new songs such as “Shut up and dance” by Walk the moon as well some classics!

One of the guys Roger rocked it on stage with us to sing ‘Hush‘ by Kula Shaker and did a stirling job!

There was definitely a lot of rock and some amazing moves from us and the crowd (including some awesome knee slides!) for Thursday night!

Komo was in full swing as usual had even done some personalised cocktails for the party!

We always have an amazing time there and this with no exception. Thanks a lot for having us guys…

Georgie & Sean’s Wedding at RAC Woodcote in Epsom

1 September 2017

What a fantastic time we had playing at Georgie and Sean’s wedding! The venue was absolutely beautiful, the bride and groom were super friendly, and everyone was lovely and helpful!

Once we had set up all our gear, we had a couple of hours to kill and to our delight Georgie & Sean had booked Amy Turk – a fantastic Harp player who entertained us with amazing arrangements of many classics including ‘Let’s stay together’ by Al Green, ‘Marry you’ by Bruno Mars, ‘Toccata and Fugue in Dm’ by J.S Bach, ‘Africa’ by Toto. Check her out on the link below, she has many great videos of her own arrangements!

If that wasn’t enough to keep us entertained in our downtime, the happy couple treated us to a slap a meal in the venues amazing restaurant, thanks guys!

As Sean (the groom) hails from South Africa, they had made a big theme out of it which was fantastic and really unique. On every table they had little handmade animals carved in wood, absolutely stunning feature!

We had a great time at this one, and all the guests were lovely and shaking they’re ‘thangs’ on the dancefloor! What more could we ask for?!

Amy & Tom’s Wedding at the Lismoyne Hotel, Fleet

30 August 2017

true-rumours  kicked off the day with two great sets at the drink reception playing all their classics such as ‘ Is this love’ by Bob Marley, ‘I feel for you’ by Prince, ‘Good riddance’ by Green day and many more tunes that it’s fair to say everyone enjoyed.

Saturday night brought us super fun antics at a lovely wedding at the Lismoyne Hotel in fleet, Hampshire for the lovely Tom and Amy. We had a special guest on bass – the very talented philippe all the way from France. Such an amazing player and awesome guy, so we love playing with him! The wedding was a relaxed and friendly affair with a super friendly crowd who seemed to love us (we like that!) and the feeling was mutual as they didn’t leave the dance floor!!  The bride looked amazing in both her dresses (Yep 2! Good work Amy!) and was leaping about like she was having an amazing time! Thank you so much for having us, and for singing along and dancing like crazy people, it was an absolute pleasure to play your wedding celebration.
